JP2 has a schizo plot. Main characters make retarded choices and the subplot about Hammond hiring Vince Vaughn only to have him directly responsible for every death that occurs in the movie isn't even addressed, it just sort of happens and then his character disappears.

JP3 is a simple story about a man and woman reconnecting while they tag along with a rescue operation to save their child.
