It's not like the show wasn't shoving new toys at you every few episodes. Like one day they'd just tell you to watch this episode with this faggot robot Tracks and his human buttbuddy and he's the main character today. And you'd sit there and wonder why Bluestreak or Sideswipe or whatever toy you got for Christmas never got to do anything big.
The real issue was that they killed so much of the 84 toys,which were the oldest and most popular, first. But ultimately that's what makes the TF movie so memorable.

I think the movie is a good introduction to G1
The premise is layed out in the first few minutes the Decepticons are evil and conqured Cybertron
The autobots are the good guys and are hiding on Earth planning a counteratack
The Leaders and core characters of the original crew die off and the new generation gets introduced
Theres plenty of action and characters dying makes every action scene interesting and fun to watch
Writers remember that these robots can Transform into an alt mode and use their unique ability in fun ways
Its a good movie for a little kid i think i loved it when i saw it
