Yes. I live right next to the theater and go watch nearly every big release each month. This is obviously the biggest one of July so I will watch it, knowing it's irritating manchild garbage by the freak James Gunn. I don't have any strong opinion one way or the other but a DC release of any kind beats out a Marvel or Jurassic Park movie any day of the week.

My motto is never live in the past and always live in the current moment. Ironically, not at all the philosophy with which that piece of crap movie was made for. I don't buy popcorn or anything extra. Just take the ticket, watch it and then leave. Always at the first showing at noon when I'm all alone.

Prometheus is an interesting movie to talk about. It's like everyone has their own separate reason for when the movie completely falls off the rails. For me, its the crew member who randomly becomes a zombie and they kill him with a flamethrower.

I think this Superman film will have something similar. People will come out and have separate reasons for why it failed.

That movie also brought some of the most fascinating alternate fan theories I've ever seen. The level of commitment and actual talent at storytelling these fan theorists had was a sight to behold. I really think it'll just be more of a dogpile because it's just a dumb superhero movie whereas Prometheus was a true event that will never be replicated again. It failed, for sure, but what it spawned was immense.
