that's the problem with dance songs, they can be very good but if you're just sitting and listening the repetition is harder to accept

I love this song and other 90s dance/house music but whenever I play this song or house music at parties and gatherings when I'm coking and drinking I get hit on by men, and fat dangerhair women compliment my taste in music. And my friends call me a gay. It's a lose/lose. I just like feel good zesty music and I'm endlessly persecuted for it. One of my friends calls it tranny cocaine music which is scarily accurate.

One of my earliest introductions to house music.
I didn't really like the genre until about a decade later.
I remember listening to that album a lot though, because my older brother had it on CD so it was just one of the albums i listened to constantly.

Towa Tei went on to do some alright stuff later on.

That's hilarious. I have every one of those songs on my Tranny Cocaine Music playlist.
I recommend
>Ride on Time by Black Box
That's an absolutely quintessential tranny cocaine song.
Also
>Show me Love by Robin S
>She Can't Love You by Chemise
>The Glamorous Life by Shelia E.
>Got to be Real by Cheryl Lynn
They aren't all 90s house but 80s disco inspired pop is essentially house music.

Do either of you know a song from that period with the lyric that went something like "See those hands chaaa-aaange" and sung by a female vocalist? I remember it from something and I've never been able to find it but it's definitely early 90s or late 80s house

because most interest boards devolve into generals, are weirdly contrarian, or get extremely specific tastes or board culture surrounding a specific topic.

It's like trying to have a conversation about the simpsons on /tv/. You're only gonna get SNEED, BASKIN ROBERTS, or SIMPSONS DIED AFTER X SEASON. Occasionally you'll get some funny shitpost edits... but that's about it.

I swear to God dude, the greatest all time Dolby Audio version of an oldie is from Love Shack. I would not steer you wrong. The mix is actually bananas like you turn your head and the entire band is in different ears. You can hear little elements that are not in the original. The energy is off the charts, like on the radio you think its a novelty song or something but in the Dolby Audio version the entire band is just ON POINT in this performance, the timing is perfect and the call and response is so crisp.

Its a revelation. Also just a bonus suggestion try Sweet Child of Mine by Guns N Roses also 10/10.

I know I head this with nirvana and definitely heard this with Blondie. Stop Billie Elishing good songs damn it. Blondie had the most kino videos because they were mostly home movies of 1970s and 80s new york. Kind of rare from that long ago because only college artfags had access to video cameras.

it's 30 years for pop culture, dummy.

i'n the 90s it was the 60s, in the 2010s it was the 80s, etc.

If haven't noticed how desperately hard they've been trying to push the 90s in this decade (see: this very thread) you must truly be blind

I cant stand people who are nostalgic for eras they didnt live through
If you like this song and/or video Im not saying you have bad taste
>you have bad taste
Im not saying your opinion doesnt matter
>your opinion doesnt matter
But for those of us who were around back then, we thought this was incredibly lame
This is euro trash produced by americans, pure and simple
I feel like every 10 or 15 years a handful of american musicians and producers get the idea that they can make europop/eurotrash work in the states
Thank god it never works out
This was Fonzi jumping over the pool full of sharks
This song and video becoming popular marked the end of an era

We truly peaked in the 90s.
It has been nothing but downhill since then

I know he had some hits in the very early 90s but his style of hip hop was more aligned musically with the previous decade. Yeah it's correct to call him a 90s star but culturally he's late 80s to me

Toby Keith was popular among country music listeners in the 90s too. His rise to stardom was with Should've Been a Cowboy (1993). I understand your confusion tho since he entered into the mainstream with Courtesy of the Red White and Blue.

There's a particular sound in the 90s of blues rock which is a throwback to the 60s/70s but at the same time is distinct from it and later classic rock revival attempts and I never really see anybody talk about it.

I guess grunge did kick off that early but it took another year or two to become mainstream. Imo most music from 1991 largely follows trends and patterns from the 80s. By the end of the next year the scene had changed dramatically and by the end of 93, music was totally different than 1990/91 imo

Yeah I hate people who think 90s was grunge, it was by far the most cringe music ever made but the 90s had the classic music that lasts for all time like this, also anything Chemical Brothers, Aphex Twin, The Prodigy.
