People misunderstand but the particle accelerator we see people getting a tour of there isn’t the actual machine. It’s probably a major part of how it works, but the machine itself is secret and built underneath the power plant, and when it’s turned on it requires ALL the power plants power, meaning the power plant can’t even operate too long because it no longer has power for maintenance things like cooling
