The first I remember was my grandfather taking me to see Apocalypto when I was five. It turned out to be his favorite movie until he died and honestly I can't blame him, it was definitely kino even if I had nightmares for like a month after seeing it for the first time.

I was 3 at the time. I decided to take a long bathroom break all by myself halfway through the movie. My mom went batshit crazy looking for me, she even announced that her son is missing that everyone participated on finding me until i just popped back at the theater. Everyone was so distressed looking at me and my mom by wasting their time.

The rerelease or are you like 70? I saw the rerelease and it was one of my first theater going experiences too. My parents were actual baby boomers and saw all the originals in theaters. It spoiled me bad. I was obsessed. We also got so many amazing Star Wars action figures during the 90's. I loved the prequels too as a kid and preteen but it's been tough as an adult realizing basically everything outside of the OT is dogshit. I even conned myself into thinking Force Awakens was somehow encouraging only for Last Jedi to nuke any hope and love I had left for Star Wars. Nothing outside of the OT and the KOTOR games is real to me anymore. I would kill to get some of those old action figures back. I want my Jawas with their light up eyes God damn it.

Reminder that Dinosaur started as a project Paul Verhoeven was developing with animator Phil Tippet and William Stout.

If you don't know who Phil Tippet is, fuck you, but William Stout was a comic book artist/illustrator who had published a book called Dinosaurs in 1981 that became a point of reference for some of the designs on Jurassic Park.

He built his career designing album covers and also contributed to Heavy Metal Magazine then worked as the Production Designer for Return of the Living Dead!!!FACT!!!

I remember going to Danny the Champion of the World at the kinoplex with my school, but the only one I can find came out in 1989 and was made for TV so I don't know what year or version is the one I went to see.
So it would have been either that or pic related.
