the writing also feels kinda juvenile, like specifically written for someone who just turned 14 and they curse sometimes but still feel weird about it and are like two steps away from saying something like "awesomesauce" but not quite that bad. i dunno its like for a new generation of teenagers that would have liked gir from invader zim a lot but maybe not that bad

Dark but not "visceral" it's pretty sentimental. The writing can get kinda stiff with very contrived ways to get characters talking about their emotions, and it's kinda all in your face. But the dark parts are also as of now don't happen often, it really is more of a comedy show still. Lore shit galore tho.
