"Weather Channel music" is unironically my favorite genre of music right now. Sent me down a 80's and 90's jazz rabbit hole.

It has led me to discover so much great jazz fusion music, especially artists like The Rippingtons, Trammell Starks and Doug Cameron.

The weather channel was kind of useless once you had internet access and just go to NOAA.gov. Now there's predictive dopplar and map overlays and literally everything about weather reporting is better. Good music though.
