Just saw this, it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be considering I liked the first one and this got very good reviews.

The first third or so I thought was interesting but then it just becomes a huge slog when the movie basically restarts and retells itself with the twin reveal which detracts from fleshing out any of the other characters since so much of it is just her and the detective on their own. So when the reveal finally happens it has very little impact because none of them really even feel like characters outside of their most surface level characteristics (Andrew Tate knockoff) and someone them don’t even have that (Governor Lady).

twitter: the movie

I like Rians flicks but this shit was cringe. The villain is Elon, the comic relief character is Joe Rogan, someone says "redpilled", Daniel Craig plays among us, the mystery is resolved by discovering the Elon stand in is actually just a dumb fraud pretending to be smart, and it's all presented in a way that's just a bit out of touch with internet culture despite being obsessed with it so you can tell a normalfag millenial who uses twitter too much wrote it
