This movie is easily Hollywood's biggest gamble of the 2020s. No other movie during this decade so far has so much riding on it. There are many projects related to the Gunnverse waiting in the wings, but these projects will never see the light of day if this movie fails. Make no mistake, if this movie fails, it will kill an entire newborn cinematic universe and finally end the era of capeshit's cinematic dominance. On the other hand, this movie failing could make Hollywood even more risk-averse than it already is and lead to WB/DC focusing on 20 years of more Batman movies. Gunn is under an insane amount of pressure.

It shouldn't have been tho. It's been printing money for the last 87 years. Superman is the easiest slamdunk in the world for normal people who don't hate america
>truth, justice and... the human way
naw fuck off with that shit.
>>212375661 (OP)Superman isn't a risk, it's as safe as Batman. Warner Bros spending $200 million on a movie about Arm-Fall-Off-Boy, now that would be a risk
>not a single Gunn movie crossed the billion dollar mark
>not a single Superman movie crossed the billion dollar mark
>not a single capeshit movie made more than 400 million dollar this year
>not even kids movies are grossing a billion dollars
>>212376437That's true. even if this shit makes money. the next film is still gonna be supergirl. absolutely nobody is watching that shit
Why has nobody pointed out the first three movies in the DCU are going to be:
>Superman
>Supergirl
>Fucking CLAYFACE
Thatโs literally more dumb than the second movie of the DCEU being Batman v Superman because contrary to what most people say that actually did make sense.
>>212376675because no one seriously considers the second movie will be made. that said you're right. out of all the possibilities the source material has he picked the dumbest, least profitable one. bro made groot popular and now he thinks he has the midas touch
>>212375661 (OP)This will definitely save out studio guys!
>>212376541I'd rather watch a movie about superman's dog with supergirl as his side piece.
I don't care about Snyder and I also don't care about Gunn, the real problem here is that WB nowadays is too reactionary and has no sense of long-term commitment despite any short-term adversity they might face. If WB nowadays makes a movie that's slightly flawed in some way, they'll just throw the whole movie out instead of fixing those slight flaws.
>>212376860Groot was kino even before the first Guardians Of The Galaxy movie. This is just Gunn being overconfident.
