she didn't seem at all triumphant about whatever her words were, and told the others to keep doubting themselves. with that downer energy i have to assume she said there's nothing more out there, or that whatever she experienced with the euphoria or transcendence has nothing to do with the afterlife and that her trip is already over. and as scary as it is to speed up that process, if there's no avoiding it there's no avoiding it. hope of a continuation is probably the only motivation she had to keep going since she doesn't seem like the type to enjoy life at face value or the type capable of coping with the not knowing.
i guess the only question is whether the young woman was still able to hold onto her faculties through everything and just straight-up lied to her. but it feels too hopeful to fit the tone of the movie
