AI video gen models like veo 3 can't keep improving fast enough. Hollywood really needs to fucking die and if AI is the one to do it so fucking be it.

Nobody did. What makes even worse is that yes, she's black and Molly should be pale like snow but the actress at least is cute but then they dress her like picrel

Neuromancer is a fine piece, it aged well since it's more fantasy than sci-fi. Snow Crash was always garbage tho

Everything Apple+ makes looks so cheap. Why would they pick a scifi project that would require lots of special effects? I guess the people watching will watch anything.

Yep, it’s the old Seinfeld Is Unfunny trope.
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SeinfeldIsUnfunny

Just about every cyberpunk/sci-fi dystopian story was directly influenced by Neuromancer and William Gibsons’ other works and it just won’t seem interesting or original to new audiences because “they’ve seen it all before”. Gamers will recognize it as the same plot from Cyberpunk 2077 too, kek.

This is impossible for several reasons. Firstly the limitations on the way AI generates imagery. It just doesn´t provide nearly the needed amount of control and consistency to be useful in a real production.
Secondly the legal issues, AI can´t hold copyright rights. This means profiting from it is not possible. As an individual that just wants to make his own porn or movies you may not care but the inability to profit from it will eventually slow down development if not halt it altogether.

Furthermore fair use and commercial use are mutually exclusive. Meaning the risk of facing legal action would be rather high. Putting aside that any starving artist catching wind of his work being used is going to be able to sue and provide proof of process (meaning they´ll be able to prove the AI images are derivative of their work and ask for compensation) companies like Disney are certainly going to lobby against the AI start ups.

Just hone your own skills and kill Hollywood yourself bro.

Faithful or not, the adaptation is doomed either way. It'll be called generic since there's plenty of already more popular cyberpunk stuff that copies off it shamelessly, and half the fun from Gibson's stories come from how he narrates it
