The one big difference is that the Spanish and Portuguese were more open to mixing with natives plus they did not work to exterminate them. So there's more admixture and pure indigenous peoples in latam. Latam also got WAY more African slaves than the US and since the Portuguese were in charge of the slave trade, Brazil has a huge percentage of blacks today.

As someone mentioned, some areas of Brazil got a huge German migration later on. Argentina got Italian migration later on. And many countries also got more european migration during and right after the second world war.

Now to your question. As someone already said, Miami gets a lot of wealthy, middle and up class right wing latinamericans. The rest of the country tends to take lower-class-uneducated-mixed race or indigenous-working-class central americans and mexicans. Some countries like Bolivia and Guatemala have way higher indigenous genes than some others and some others are mostly mixed like Colombia and Chile.
