I've worked a office job and a manual labor job, both have their pros and cons, both are soul crushing. at least when working an office drone job I could come home and still have enough energy to go to the gym/go for a run. After working a shift of construction (especially in the summer) I just wanted to take a shower and lay on my couch the rest of the night. You also never really get much cardio when working manual labor so you'll get really strong but also really fat and unhealthy. Honestly I prefer the office job where I can fuck off and play games or browse 4chan. Also, air conditioned bathrooms > portable shitters. Mexicans take some of gnarliest shits of any race of human. Office jobs win hands down if you don't become a fag that needs "meaning" in their work. It's all about extracting as much value from your company while contributing the least as possible.

The cool thing about this movie is that you can watch it before working in an office and after working. Then you have a completly different filter watching it.
Watching it without the experience, its simply a comedy filim at face value with a well written plot.

However watching it after working in an office you can truly understand what is going on that is not explained.

The company is downsizing and having Bobs evaluating workers to see where they can save the most money and fire them. Unexplained on top of this, we watch the movie through Peters eyes as Bill just being an annoying boss. However once you understand office politics Bill was intentionaly making people upset to make them look crazy to the Bobs. Peter figured this out and thats when he decided to take a mental vacation. And thats how he impressed the Bobs. He figured if he acts relaxed compared to everyone sperging out he would look better and get promoted. Wich he did, this making Bills plan backfire.

The movie is basically Peter using the 48 Laws of power. And the whole therapist scene was a bit useless and throws the story off, but then again it acts as a filler to people who just dont get whats going on.
