Ah fuck this series was so good. However I stopped at season 2 like you all said. Is the rest of the show really that reprehensible?

it's just meandering and kind of rushed, with a worse cast, gimmicky characters that grow old by the end, and significantly worse performances from everyone.
It's still worth watching if you enjoyed the first two, just not as good.

S1-3 are consistently great but 1 > 3 > 2. Forget the show exists after. S5 is hilarious if you just watch it on its own. S4 is wasted potential through and through. Neither are worth viewing, wish I could get my time back.

i don't know, i happened to stop at season 2 just cause i never reconnected with it after the gap i watched it when it came out. let's be real tho shows always get worse

I've been on a detective show binge. I've had no misses. Justified, Homicide:Life on the Street, Twin Peaks, Fargo.
Should I go ahead and check out true Detective? I heard mixed things.

But 2 is also acceptable answer.
Do not watch 4 at all costs.
5 is like what I was worried the show would be but isn't for 1-3. It's okay, better than a lot of things really, but still pretty shitty.

2 sucks because it doesn't take advantage of the mid-1970 setting. And the gang war aspect is... frankly kind of boring. Season 1 felt more like Fargo. I think the fact that Martin Freeman is the only one trying to do the accent from the movie kind of sucks but he did steal each scene. It even got to a point where i stopped feeling bad for him and saw him as a horrible cunt
