To be fair they're cartoons, making people laugh is their whole thing. In this world Roger is an absolute stud who's slumming it with an unfunny 'adult' toon.
Even Betty Boop says "What a lucky girl", this is like Brad Pitt deciding to marry some random hooker.

its a god-tier family film, all ages can appreciate various elements of it.

im still blown away by how well done the physical interactions are between the human actors, especially the MC, and the toons around him.

Also it must have been satan himself ensuring the copyrights were relaxed enough to put all these independent IPs together to make the film. Even when reading the explanations behind that, i still can't believe it.

if you have any younger siblings/nephews/nieces/kids, sit them down and make them watch it with you.
Its in the same realm of timeless classic as the Blues Brothers. Which is another 'must see before you die' kinda film.
Frankly who framed RR is better paced than Blues Brothers imo, there's no time wasting scenes at all.

Yep, a legit triumph in film making. I honestly donโ€™t think the skillsets involved all around for the production of this film exist anymore, not even if you hired a billion Indians and gave every single one of them a license for Autodesk Maya.

no it was painstaking contractual negotiations that miraculously succeeded. It couldn't be made today, or 10 years ago, or 20. I can't think of any era other than the 80s or earlier where this was possible.

No, it was incredibly careful threading of needles by Spielberg and Zemeckis, and a miracle that it happened at all. Getting Disney and Warner Bros to cooperate was no mean feat.
For instance, Bugs and Mickey, because they're the respective mascots and both were extra protective, could ONLY appear in the same scene, and they had to have precisely the same amount of screentime to the frame. In this scene, Mickey enters from the top a frame before Bugs does, and at the end of the scene, Bugs exits the scene second, a frame after Mickey.

they used everything from prop cartoon models to fucking state-of-the-art robotic appendages to simulate the real actions.

You're right, the skillsets likely no longer exist. You could possibly get similar results from the Boston Dynamics robot guys i suppose, but the cost would be even more insane that it would have been back in the 80s.

Jordan in real life is a confident and harsh guy, though the film casts him as a mild mannered nice guy for some reason. I'll assume some measure of his personality comes through in some form anyway and gives him a little more screen presence even if he can't act.

Jordan IRL is a huge dick and an obnoxious prick according to everyone who isnt famous who's met, him, everyone. That does however translate well into on-screen charisma. If they'd upped the age-rating of Space Jam more he'd honestly have done better, he might even approach OJ simpson level celeb-acting.

Lady from Shanghai or Double Indemnity. Double Indemnity is almost peak noir, marred only by its transparent villainess. Probably the most parodied next to Maltese Falcon. Lady from Shanghai is peak noir, but it's a Welles film so it'll kind of spoil you for lesser noirs.

They never defined who Judge Doom originally was.
There's a graphic novel where he's defined as "Baron Von Rotten" and he's generic antagonist. Another version he's the hunter who killed Bambi's mom.
I like to think he's just some angry artist/animator who made an evil version of himself to get even with all the successful cartoons.
