The prequels are still the absolute worst of Star Wars. The sequels have decent actors, good effects, and as long as you turn your brain off, you can still enjoy them. Nothing about the prequels can be enjoyed. They're boring, have awful effects and stilted acting. The prequels also had far more hatred for them than the sequels ever did. Deep down, you know I'm right. Nostalgia for movies that you didn't know were completely hated as a kid is the only thing they have.

This was mind blowing shit as a kid growing up in the early 2000s. Finding out that Anakin becomes Darth Vader was insane. Awesome sword fights. Grievous and Palpatine were scary and intriguing villains. Obi Wan was a Chad the whole movie. He defeated the supreme commander of the droid army, and Darth Vader at his peak. I could sense the richness of the lore, even as a child. Made me a lifelong fan

I watched them as a kid and prefer prequels to OT. I only watched the first of the sequel trilogy and found it pretty boring with a MC that's like a bulldozer, just powering through anything without any resistance and supporting cast of dull characters.

I feel like if Phantom Menace wasn't like a 80's Disney kid movie it and the rest of the prequels would be remembered far better. AotC is okayish and RotS is pretty good in it's own right but PM just leaves a bad taste in your mouth for the whole Anakin/Padme story. Other than the Duel of the Fates all the action fucking sucks aids except maybe the podracing which might've been a bit too far ahead of it's time production-wise.. Certainly it was not a good choice to try to mix and match prescient adult worldbuilding with trying to grab a child audience.

Hard disagree. The prequels at least felt like Star Wars at times. The ST was so fucking awful with even MORE forgettable characters than the PT that they don't even exist to me. No one cares about Rey, no one cares about Poe, no one cares about Finn, no one cares about Kylo.
