My farmer uncle has a creek on his land and my entire childhood he would blow up beaver dams with a garbage bag filled with propane and a long toilet paper fuse but now he drinks beer with a beaver and feeds it strawberries. They can be pretty tame.

I live in Oregon. Our state animal is a beaver. I've never once seen one my entire life. Shitloads of nutria everywhere, though. I even saw some fucking, once.
