Oh, another joke at Ringo's expense coming from someone that isn't familiar with the Beatles' story. This should be getting old by now. It's no surprise that they've also done Yoko jokes

For anyone that doesn't know: Ringo was the man. He was older and cooler than the other three. They looked up to him in their youth. He was in a popular band called Rory and The Hurricanes before anyone knew who the Beatles were. There was a 10 minute session during each show called "Starr Time" in which Ringo just went nuts on the drums and people loved it.

He hung out with the guys when they shared a gig location and they really took a liking to him. They wanted him to drum for them and they took a huge risk to get him. Their biggest recurring gig at the time was at a club owned by Pete Best's (their current drummer) mother. Booting him out of the band for Ringo could have easily meant the end of the band. Fortunately, Pete's mother wasn't petty and continued to book the Beatles (or maybe she liked the crowds they drew).

When an EMI producer demanded a session drummer over Ringo, the band stuck with him. When he was struck with Tonsillitis and Pharyngitis during a world tour, they had a temp drummer sit in for the shows. By this point their songwriting prowess had developed and they had left Ringo in the dust in terms of talent. If they wanted to replace him permanently, this was their chance. They didn't. They wanted Ringo.

He was always the backbone. When the band bickered Ringo kept his cool. When their quarrels became too much he left the band in frustration (White Album era). Here was yet another chance to rid themselves of him if they didn't want him but they didn't. They each visited him separately (without realizing it) and begged him to come back. When he returned they had adorned his drum area with countless flowers. So he wasn’t the most phenomenal song writer, so what? How many drummers are?
