how to make it interesting

Squid Game is inherently interesting, it takes talent to take an idea as fun as this and make it boring to watch.
We don't need side-plots outside of the games or any flashbacks, just a bunch of POVs within the games.

Also, obviously don't have the Americans playing traditional Korean kids games, mix it up.

Funnily enough, it was the inverse on the reality TV series where the blacks immediately all teamed up, forming a bloc and then losing because of it. My memory of the show is vague but I remember the kweens screwing themselves over despite being given the golden platter treatment throughout.

There is also definitely going to be some Elon stand-in.

Front man from SK Squid games brought in to replace front man from American games. Speaks no English so has a sexy secretary with him to do the translating who serves,as his second in command (played by Awkwafina). Everyone already there hates his guts because he is a foreigner coming in and "taking American jobs". The current workers all wanted the old frontman's second in command (played by Henry Cavill) to take over too. Frontman enters the games to prove his worth to them, with an extraction planned later in the games by faking his death. This goes wrong as Cavill's character wats to be the frontman so is happy for the SK frontman to die in the games. Its revealed the sexy secratary was in cahoots with Cavill and his lover, by way of an incredibly graphic sex scene that uses real sex rather than simulated stuff and you get to see her boobs and vagina and everything. Eventually SK frontman breaks out of the games and the VIPs want to see a showdown between him and Cavill to decide who has control of the games, the loser dies and has their organs harvested. SK frontman wins but Sexy Secretary kills him so she is now the Frontwoman.
