Furthermore, the only reason why Europeans bothered to make scientific advanvements agains was not because of declining Christianity, but because after the fall of Constantinople in 1453 (when all of Europe was still Christian) Europeans had to make innovative technologies for their ships to reach the places they wanted to trade with, kickstarting further technological progress.
