Yes, standards were lower in terms of looks. But also women were respectable then, so the relatively tame whorishness she exhibited by today's sensibilities was wild to them, and drove them sex-mad. The dialogue got me rolling in this film. Monroe was the perfect casting, Lemon got to showcase his great comedic talent and Curtis grew a lot in my eyes now that I've watched plenty of his films.

It wasn't laugh-out-loud for me but definitely very entertaining. Jack Lemmon's performance really was the pillar of the entire film.
