i unironically hate this movies message
it tricks the naive viewer into believing that the Holy Land is rightfully Muslim land and that the le evil Christians are coming to conquer.
Christians were in those lands for 700 years before Islam was even a thing.

It doesn't imply that all, it implies real Christianity saved the people in the middle of a warzone and is admired even by Muslims. The movie isn't anti-Christian, the defeat happened, the corruption happened leading to the defeat. Throughout his reign, Guy was highly unpopular amongst the nobles of the Kingdom of Jerusalem, and is often blamed for the fall of the kingdom to Saladin. Guy massacred the Bedouin people of the royal fief of Darum, who were under royal protection and gave Baldwin information about the Egyptians' movements.
