the entire point of the tiktok ban was to try and strongarm the company into selling to a us company so israel could back door it. the chinese company called their bluff and zoomzooms got angry over their favorite drug being banned so trump pushed back the deadline. this gave us companies time to shill their tiktok clones to hopefully steal marketshare from tiktok so they can ban it when the new deadline comes
they're still refusing to sell and insisting the us ban tiktok because its a win win for china. if trump caves and refuses to ban it, its humiliating. if he does enforce the ban, china can point out the us is banning media it doesn't like and is betraying its "commitment" to free speech
