>embarrassingly cringy and unintentionally hilarious introduction to Batman (him clinging on a wall)
>little to no Batman action
>little to no Superman action
>cringe inducing scenes that made audiences laugh when they weren’t supposed to
>dull boring scenes with Jonathan Kent
>dull boring scenes with people talking about how important Superman is
>jesse eisenburgs motivation being so unclear that the only thing people can make of it is that he had daddy issues, and therefor hates Superman..?
>batman inexplicably murdering people, despite Nolan’s trilogy conditioning audiences for 10 years that Batman doesn’t kill, and snyder doing absolutely nothing to address why Batman murders (Snyderjeets: SAAAR ITS BECAUSE ROBIN DIED OKAY SAAR? DIDNT YOU GET THAT FROM THE SCENE WHERE BRUCE LOOKS AT THE ROBIN SUIT?!?)
no, nobody did, you fucking curry loving fuck faces
>the Batman v Superman fight that the movie was marketed and bill on lasts 5 minutes and ends anti climatically
>the final battle with doomsday is a hideous cgi explosion with loud noises and consists of Wonder Woman and Superman bashing into doomsday like a toddler playing with action figures
>death of Superman… in the second movie

>the Batman v Superman fight that the movie was marketed
Not just that but the VISUAL AUTEUR Snyder feels like he's only checking boxes for a Batman VS Superman fight. You got
>Guns blasting to demonstrate Superman's invulnerability
>Batman uses kryptonite
>Superman is weakened
>Batman gets the upper hand
>Superman suddenly gets the upper hand
>Uh oh
>But Batman wins coz he's less powerful

It's the most basic shit. You got more creative fights in DC animated stuff.

You didn’t understand the movie. It couldn’t have been written out anymore clearer. 1. Bruce looked at the Robin costume, okay? That’s why he murders. 2. He realized Superman had a mom named Martha too. That meant he didn’t deserve to die, the other criminals Batman murderer didn’t have mothers so it was okay to kill them. What’s it like being so low IQ

If Batman stopped killing after talking with Superman and Lois people would complain about the sudden change, and Batman killing afterwards is also a problem.

I felt that Batman taking time to actually change felt more organic. You can't just stop cold turkey after tasting real human blood. It doesn't work that way. The power trip is too big.

I understand shitting on the JL cameo or Superman dying for being too much too soon but fuck this movie was delicious. Granted the ultimate edition wasn’t the version that released in theaters. The reception to this movie killed capeshit going forward. The production process is now committee based low common denominator slop. The concept of a genuine creative superhero movie is foreign. Even Gunn positioned his movie around pandering and safety and building a universe. Somewhat sad because he never wanted to make a Superman movie in the first place.

The Flash had everything going for it with a Jeffrey Dean Morgan Thomas Wayne and they settled on…Keaton nostalgia and MoS retreading. I would’ve preferred they adapted Flashpoint with some moderate adjustments. The magnum opus of my dream is Macaulay Culkin Reverse Flash who I think could provide some interesting chemistry with Ezra.

A shame Ray Fisher aped out because with Cyborg involved the movie conceptually would’ve ended up a lot better.

I wasn’t even saying I disliked it (it was very contrived and silly imo but I get what he was trying to do and I think it would have worked had this line been written literally any other way) but you can’t lie and say this scene didn’t DESTROY public perception of these movies. People were cautiously optimistic if skeptical after MoS but this line single-handedly turned the universe into a joke

it had a great scene between Barry and Bruce that tied back into ZSJL well: https://youtube.com/watch?v=xhvYOubnHxc
cause in my headcanon “maybe some other time” is a reference to the Knightmare. Bruce is subconsciously referencing a future where he and Barry work together to prevent or undo that apocalyptic timeline from JL2.

Yeah Ezra was frustrated with WB dragging its feet on getting Flash up and running and didn’t agree with what they wanted for the movie so he sought out Morrison to write that original screenplay together in 2018.
But then his original contract was going to expire May 2019, so an ultimatum was made where either WB accepted Morrison/Ezra’s script or he was going to walk away/be recast
In the end the compromise was they kept Ezra/renewed his contract and hired Andy M. and Christina Hodson, who wrote a new script that was based partially on the old script Ezra didn’t like but with the multiverse elements added (Daley and Goldstein retain a “Story By” credit on the movie)
