What movies (or TV shows) have the biggest body counts in terms of actual characters? Not random henchmen or civilians dying, the actual cast of the film dying in droves, either most or even all of them by the end.

Six Feet Under starts each episode with a random person dying, but they are given enough screentime and get a memorial with the character name that it could count.
Otherwise it would have to be some disaster/horror movie with a big cast. Only a few named characters survive Titanic.

Not all the actors whose characters died were well known at the time, but a crapload of currently well known actors had parts in the film, and their characters died.
The characters also despite limited screen time actually seemed to have a bit of depth, rather than simply being some guy who died.

While ‘Predator’ isn’t exactly a complete “And Then There Were None”/“Ten Little Indians”/“Ten Little Niggers” adaptation, that’s basically what the story boils down to, and any adaptation of this will have most major characters die.

Are you talking sheer numbers, or percentage? A movie like Circle that is only survived by one person has a large percentage, but it's a somewhat small cast.

Either/or really, double points if it's a big cast AND it has a high percentage of deaths. Like Inglorious Bastards for instance, with just three members of the main cast of characters surviving the runtime, out of eighteen.
