I'm Dutch just like Verhoeven and I hated it. It's just kinda not good, I get what Verhoeven en Eszterhas (or however you spell it) were going for but the script sucks ass and the characters are awful so it just kinda ends up being a miserable, boring movie. It's just impossible to get immersed into a story where a character like Nomi Malone is the main character, she's way too frustrating and unlikeable from the very beginning
