Sphere was my nbc kino since I didn't rent movies and only had network TV. Favorite wtf moment is when they are communicating with Jerry and the psychologist is concerned about an entity that has been alone for centuries being happy since it also means Jerry can also get angry.

I read this book when I was 12yo and used to jerk off to one of the more detailed sex scenes. It completely cemented my opinions on women being lying whores. I often think about how masturbating to this book shaped my opinions as a child.

I read the great train robbery and Andromeda strain as a teen and they were awesome blockbuster thrillers. Incredibly cerebral and true to their environments. Chrichton was also a genius who had many accomplishment before he got his books adapted into film.

Stephen King/Michael Crichton slop is prime 12yo reading material. I grew up in 90s Seattle, so this copy was particularly intriguing to me. Child me never knew it would be nothing like Jurassic Park.
