They're not actually expensive. They're well worth the price of admission. The real problem here is that you're projecting how financially destitute you are + probably brown to boot.
Stop being poor.

still cheaper than cable ever was. no, you don’t need every service anymore than you needed every channel before. you’re only gonna watch so much. I have three services—Disney, netflix, and prime—and I basically only watch 1.5 of it. it’s inconceivable to me to have more than that

I get Netflix and Prime, but why Disney? They have nothing of value + they don't have all their legacy content + they've censored numerous movies & shows they own.

I watch Disney by far the most out of the three. They have a fuck ton of content. I just finished watching every episode of MASH, it’s on Disney.

>expensive
I've spent literally $0 (zero) on television and film ever since quitting Netflix many years ago. And before Netflix, it was also $0.

If you still can't pirate all your shit in 2025, that's a skill issue.

Shutting down soon.
If you're a true connoisseur of televised art, you'd pay for the actual premium services as that's where the good stuff actually is.

Netflix didn't do streaming video in 2007
Hulu was basically just a way to watch Family Guy and other Fox, NBC, and ABC shows after they came out
Prime Video in 2007 was just a VoD
