Such a goofy crime to try to get away with. They could track the shrooms you bought through the entire supply chain and prove you were innocent. She clearly thought the police would just go "well these things happen" and move on.

She was counting on all traces of death cap mushrooms disappearing

They start to have kids and she gives people in his family very generous loans to help them buy property
Eventually cracks start to form, she realises she actually doesn't like god botherers after all and they start to divorce
Despite her giving them so much money they all take his side
Her husband starts to follow the court ordered child support requirements and she gets furious and wants more money, his family backs him again
She decides that she will wipe him and all of his relatives out
Btw she poisoned him multiple times before this

>A third former colleague said during her time at Air Services, Erin would call into the air traffic control centre pretending to be another worker and say they were sick.
>They thought it was part of a plan Erin had to pick up lucrative shifts covering the sick leave of others.
>Another remembers Erin giggling in a corner of the room when a confused air traffic controller was being quizzed by her bosses, who asked: "Why are you here? Didn't you call in sick?"
>They suspect Erin was behind a phone call to the bosses earlier that day, as a prank.

It would be a great dark comedy if they kept 100% of the story true.
>has been trying to poison ex-husband for years but he keeps just tanking it. At worst he went for a short stay in hospital for 'gastro'
>makes the strongest poisonous mushroom meal yet for 4 elderly people
>goes to local country hospital to feign gastro the day after so it would look like shared symptom of maybe a viral or bacterial food contaminant.
>local hospital has already seen 2 of the elderly relatives overnight and transferred them to a major city hospital with the other 2 oldies so sick they were taken directly to the city by ambulance
>day shift doctor knows this and has been told everything by the city hospital, and that they even suspect deathcap mushroom poisoning from the severe textbook symptoms.
>doctor tells her all of this in the waiting room, pulls out his phone and asks her if she can give permission to his local cop buddy to go into her house and collect the meal leftovers for toxicology samples
>the minute that doctor leaves the room she runs out of casualty, drives home, grabs evidence like her phone and food processor
>seen on cctv immediately afterwards at the local garbage dump throwing away the food processor
>on first police interview lies to them saying she never had a food processor
>surrenders her 'phone' which is a locked burner phone. Her real phone is never found.
>tries to remote wipe the burner phone in police custody from home

tbf it's hard to get beyond the burden of reasonable doubt when there still isn't really an obvious reason as to why she would have done it, beyond being an evil heartless bitch.
I'm sure they all thought she probably did it, it's whether they believed it enough to convict her for it.

That's why it's so strange that this attracted the media circus it did. I read this like the first day and from that it was obviously an open and shut case. It seems like in order to create more intrigue(?) people entirely stopped holding this information, everyone being like 'no I never heard that where'd you hear that?'

Fargo style black comedy. Woman murders three of her relatives and nearly kills another with a poisoned beef wellington laced with death cap mushrooms. Eats a little of it herself and shows up to hospital reporting poisoning symptoms, but leaves after 5 minutes when the doctor asks where the mushrooms came from. Tries to wipe all the evidence but ends up digging deeper into a hole of lies.
