Pertwee's Doctor just hasn't aged well, despite being considered good at the time, its kind of like Colin Baker's Doctor in reverse. It was quite a dumb decision to save budget by having a guy with a ship that can travel through all of time and space not be able to use it so he is stuck on the same humdrum planet, with the same humdrum and bland people. He even has to get a car, fucking joke. Its not even a cool car its a dorky car like Brum, the sort an elderly homosexual would drive, when he could have had a cool car (by the standards of the time) like a Lotus or a Jaguar.

There is a clear reason Tom Baker was the most popular Doctor in the classic series, its because he brought fun and variety back to the show. Once again the Doctor could do anything and go anywhere in time and space and didn't just drive around South East England in a gay yellow clown car. You can travel all of space and time and you choose Kent. Unbelievable.

I watched one (1) episode of Dr. Who many years ago and Peter Capaldi played an ancient roman senator or something who needed help to flee with his family because of.. reasons, I think? I don't remember but it was before he himself became a Dr. Who.

Anyways, it sucked and I find it baffling people are obsessed with this show because it's written by and for children.

I would imagine the episode quite confused you. I mean he's meant to be a doctor, right? But at no point in the episode did he see any patients! WTF man?
