It's actually kino. The entire scene opens up to Clark and Johnathan literally arguing about how Clark doesn't have to listen to him because "he's not his real dad". The whole scene isn't about the fact that superman can save his father, it's about him accepting himself as a human in his father's eyes, which is what Johnathan always wanted. In the scene where they are calling Clark a miracle for saving the bus, Johnathan is rolling his eyes because he believes his son to be just that, his human son.

A human son cannot save a human father. Superman was honoring and accepting the words of his "dad" which takes a lot of strength and humbling. It's meant to be difficult and profound. Why don't people understand that?
