Because in the cartoon it was done well. The art was good, voice acting was good, and the stories they told were good. The live action movies have without fail always been slop.

Superman TAS was not very good. The DCAU in general didn't do a very good job adapting him or Wonder Woman. Why do people treat it like some kind of DC holy grail?
