What are your favorite motorsports films?
Theres something really compelling about a film with a man strapped into a vehicle with a big engine braving the g-forces.
Out of those three, it's FvF > Rush > F1
I was actually quite disappointed by F1, at first, I disliked the lack of proper conflict, but in hindsight, I actually like the young guy being just a cocky kid amd not a straight up douchebag. He does actually pay attention and learns. The script is by the book and that'd be okey if it had great visuals, but I was lost in the IMAX experience only in the final race when Sonny "flew", otherwise, it wasn't that great of an audio-visual fiest.
F1 was just ok felt extremely paint by numbers. I watched Rush because I heard it was better and it's even worse? Every woman's dialogue is just
>God damn it you're such a loose cannon! So what motivates you as a character anyway??
The shots of the actual races are Steven Seagal tier short and chopped together. There must have been 20 shots of Lauda's crash less than a second long cut together. And that's without even mentioning the porn parody tier acting.
Might give ford v ferrari a watch but eh, then again I could watch anything else.

f1 has niggers shoved in for no reasdon
hard pass for me
>>212490546Ok. The exposition is just extremely rote.
>>212490555Going out on a limb here but could be the fact a black guy is the best f1 driver of all time.
Ronin (1998) isn't a motorsports film but it does have the best car chases of any movie ever
>>212490862that is cool and all i like lewis hamilton actually
but the actor they got is clearly just forced diversity
>>212490392>God damn it you're such a loose cannon! So what motivates you as a character anyway??Don't watch Days of Thunder then
>>212491190>i like lewis hamilton>but the actor they got is clearly just forced diversityWho the hell do you think is among those pushing for foreigners to be included? None other than the halfling prince himself. He is part of the problem in F1.
>>212489863 (OP)Grand Prix (1966) is the best one and I cannot think of anything else.

>>212492718Kek I just looked that up a few hours ago after seeing a screenshot. Good call I've had my fill of sportslop flicks.
Rush > FvF > F1
F1 may have looked cool visually but it felt like it was made in the same vain as Yellowstone; nothing but a boomer fantasy. There also wasn't nearly enough racing and tension.
