Everything before the movies is decent. The movies suck. The comedy central seasons are dogshit. The hulu seasons are actually an affront against god and Matt Groening should be made to personally apologize to every person who watched even five minutes of them.

Same. Tried re-watching it a few years back and the jokes were just so lazy and irritating.
And 3/4 of the episodes were just slack homages to famous scifi movies or twilight zone episodes.

I'd rather watch the old seasons than fucking Family Guy or some shit. It aged better than other "adult" animation and the writing tends to be smarter. People on this board are just jaded.

Rick and Morty of yesteryear but somewhat intelligent. Maybe I just watched too much Simpsons as a kid but I cannot stand any Groening product anymore. I can't even finish entire episode of Futurama without getting bored and shutting it off. Also Jurassic Bark

It never reaches Simpsons levels of comedy. The closest it comes is in the first season, the writing is pretty solid especially the pilot. It has heart, which is fine on a first viewing, but the comedy gets old

first run before cancellation is one of the greatest 4 (or 5?) season run of any adult cartoon. Every ep feels like its own self contained cinematic story

I tried to watch it a few times. I couldn’t ever make it through an episode. I found it incredibly annoying.

I remember watching the pilot when it first aired, and I was sad when it the show ended, then enjoyed the re-runs on Adult Swim, but those movies suck, and I don't care about the Hulu version.
