it is a stiff, ugly-looking adaptation that does hardly anything new with the dracula material. the plague parallel is obvious, Depp is a dull actress, Bill tries but doesn’t cut the mustard even with that mustache, Hoult is fine—appropriately dull. Coppola’s Dracula remains the definitive modern adaptation and no one since has come close to the poetry, craft, and ideas in that masterpiece. everyone else saying otherwise here is a brainlet who will eat anything Brooklyn_Dad_Defiant Eggers will serve them. cinema is dead

Nosferatu is the inverse of VVitch. Basically a godless girl grows into a god fearing woman and sacrifices herself to save her friends and family. It's a very lovely film.

As a horror movie it sucks and has zero scares or tension. It’s obvious what’s going to happen even if you know nothing about Dracula or the original move. the ending is anticlimactic. The actors are great and the effects are good but that’s it

OP here again. Enjoying it a lot so far. Dracula is one of my favorite books and it's been the interpretation that is closest to what I pictured when I read the book.

He's realistic. Kids are annoying as fuck to their parents. The only reason most kids don't get abandoned by their birth parents is just pure biology since they are just so cute. As kids age they become increasingly tolerable as people though (assuming you are teaching them to be good people.)

A pointless retread of something already done way way better previously. The vampire's accent is fucking insufferable. The editing is trash, they filmed it so dark you cant fucking see anything. Everytime a character talks, theyre looking straight into the camera, before switching to another character with the same angle. The dialogue is boring, characters yammering on and on about nothing.

Why is hollywood always trying to justify female infidelity? They are always pumping out films that involve a woman who just has to cheat for various reasons. Why?

Visually excellent but unless you're watching it on an OLED or Plasma it's going to look like shit because of how dark it is.

The actual movie is pretty terrible because of the painfully verbose/flowery dialogue and dull story. And Orlock speaks 10 times slower than i necessary.
Lily Rose is a bad actress.
