Why do assholes get the girls when the nice guys get NOTHING

I hate handsome men.

Nelson isn't handsome. He's assertive and also sensitive. It also helps that he is built so women find him physically attractive.

normies aren't "assholes", they are simply physically addicted to life and women (at the heroin level compared to autists perception), and through that can gain personality, strong opinions and desires. They just know what they want because of additional chemical reward their brain helps them with

Everybody hates Lisa. Her getting with the equally despised bully kid isn't some sort of win for Nelson. The message isn't "mean guys get the girl", it's "hey even if you're an annoying cunt, there's someone out there for you".

Nelson and Lisa always had a weird little connection. I'm surprised guys didn't pick up on it.

OP, you're probably a teen learning this life lesson rn. You need to know that girls see nice guys as boring. Girls want their friends to date nice guys but they themselves want to date assholes because they're interesting. They're interesting because they're not awkwardly hung up on girls like nice guys are and because they're just living their own life. Girls will tell you this is BS and tell you to be your self. Disregard their advice and just focus on being your best self (gym, school, etc) and the girls will come.

Nelson is the type of dude who would generally turn out alright once he escaped his upbringing. He's the best written character by far among his age cohort (Lisa being the worst, yes I don't care if she's younger than him, she fucking sucks.)

Mental illness always answer this question, but ignore the practical reality

An asshole doesn't fucking care that they "bother" a girl when they hit on her.
They do not care if they are out of their league.
They are generally pushy and forward.

Nice guys generally shoot themselves in the foot, take themselves out of the running, and hesitate at every step of a nascent relationship.
They're almost never as nice as they say they are, they're just insecure and think pleasing people is the same thing as being a morally good person
