Developing a pre-existing character + lores in new directions isn't just about sexual ID. You actually have to care about the char as a living breathing chess piece moving through an universe. Dropped the revival since Capaldi, wasn't bad but I just wasn't interested in.
I saw the Tennant specials and were okay.
Coludn't pass from 5th or 4th episode from the "new season one". Were so boring. From what I heard and read was the same for the other episodes and season 2.
They sould let the show die at this point.

The show has been dead since 2017. There has literally not been a single episode that could be classified as "very good" ever since The Doctor Falls. Capaldi's era certainly had issues but it was the last time the show had meaning, authenticity, gravitas. It was the last time the plot happened for the sake of interesting plot instead of satisfying some ideology shit or trying to bait tabloids. Anyone who is sentient knows that everything after Capaldi has been performative fanfiction that just happens to exist under the same banner.

Eh, second Ncuti season was fun, felt like he finally got into the groove of the character, but the ending was awful. Chibnall seasons were still worse though, he's the biggest reason the show is in life support

Yeah, unfortunately. The scene that took me out of it was the Doctor not recognizing who was the real Donna, not something he'd do honestly.

No, the whims of a child killed it. Chibnall wanted to make his kid fanfic into canon and it hurt the show irreparably. The companions were garbage, the timeless child concept was garbage, the Fugitive doctor concept was garbage(even if I do like the idea of Jo Martin as a Doctor), and the actor wasn't given anything interesting to actually feel like the Doctor.
RTD coming in with his "I CAN'T LET GO OF MY SEASONS OF DOCTOR WHO" syndrome were the nail in the coffin though.

Honestly? Ncuti and the companion. Ruby was insufferable in the first season, but the indian chick matched Ncuti's energy very well, and he has never felt more like the Doctor. Completely different from his first season. Ending is garbage though, and it was apparently filled with reshoots

You know what was one of the biggest things that killed the show though? Changing the soundtrack. Doctor Who music should feel alien and whimsical, and what we get now, despite being whimsical, isn't very alien. It's very sanitized, somehow.
