>>212519350 (OP)89- Amazing aesthetics- great performances, but the pacing falls off in the second half. The movie feels like it rushes to the ending
Returns- beautiful visuals, slightly weaker characterization but the performances are enjoyable and the chemistry between Bruce and Selina is unmatched to this day in Batman movies. Keaton's Batman does feel weaker and more along for the ride here though, when the first one has so many scenes that make Batman come off cool as hell.
Forever-gets a bad rep, it's definitely less strong than the first two but has it's own strengths, While different the neon, statue filled Gotham still looks really great, and Jim Carrey is fun to watch
Kilmer's Batman is unfortunately stifled in a lot of scenes, like being constricted in the costume killed his performance.
Batman and Robin- gets too much ironic appreciation if anything. It's much weaker than Forever in spire of committing more to camp- it's to it's detriment because it fails the first rule of camp which is that the characters need to play it straight. It's too aware of it's own goofiness which makes it less fun.
