>>212520437 (OP)>31I feel the same way. Never feel like I could do what I wanted with my life. Like I wasted my 20's.
But now I'm 31 and have a job/money. Now, instead of having to get a project off the ground using scraps and hoping to get people to work/help for free, I can just pay them. It's so much easier to get projects off the ground now.
I started teaching myself 2D game design last year at 30 years old, and thought I was wasting my time (though enjoying it) but I realized I just pay someone to make the assets I can't. Hell, for $10k, I could finance a really solid demo build of a couple of levels with original art and music. I can make something now that would never have been possible in my 20's.
Getting older sucks, and there's always regrets, but if you're running your life well, then by 30 you should have resources you didn't before. It should be exciting. Like treating projects like a video game for example, when you start something in your 20's, you're starting at level 1 every time. But starting something in your 30's with disposable income and an adult worth ethic and you're now always starting at level 30. Enjoy it.
