I was watching re-runs of the original series in the 90s as a little boy, and that shit absolutely blew my mind. It was an absolute feast for the senses. High art disguised as a children's show. I think people forget how cool it was to see a variety show with those kind of sensibilities back then. Some of the greatest television of all time imo. Should be mandatory viewing for all young children.
