Yeah honestly Dexter should never have an ending. But yes Original Sin was actually good. It felt just like the original show and the actors are pretty good. It's much faster pacing wise for the new TikTok audience but i think it's still awesome and apparently it's getting more seasons

This is actually one of the big reasons to watch Original Sin. It opens by showing how they changed their mind about New Blood's ending, and how he actually survived getting shot in the chest lmao. Michael C. Hall narrates Original Sin while he's in the hospital in a coma after getting shot but then stabilized

They already brought Dexter back and it was disappointing. Then they tried to do a prequel about Dexter which is also disappointing (they already did that in flashbacks in the original series). Now they are bringing him back again but with more returning cast from the original series. Just more of the same. It could at least be entertaining if they went down a super natural route, like made his dark passenger an actual demon or something. Anything new even if it's absurd would be better than a return to the same old same old.

The same amount as New Blood. David Zayas as Angel is back, and James Remar as Harry is back (taking the place of Ghost Deb since it sounds like there is no Jennifer Carpenter here). But that's probably it. Some are hoping for un-announced surprise appearances from Quinn or Lumen or others but I think they're setting themselves up for disappointment

So what's the story behind making deb in love with dexter? I know the actors were together for some time and it makes me wonder if they trickled that in or what, their chemistry was already weirdly close even in the first season so it's not out of nowhere but still feels like a step too far.

I was hoping that deb would've beleived that the therapist was bullshit because that's exactly the type of retarded ideas therapists try to put into peoples heads

It was just so that when Deb finds out Dexter's secret, it would be even more impactful for her. Dex was built up in Deb's head as something he wasn't, to an even greater extent than just being adoptive siblings, so that for her it could come crashing down harder.
Thus, her attraction to him only becomes a thing toward the end of s6, and after the big reveal where she finds his slides it no longer serves a purpose and barely comes up again

Harrison is indeed back in Resurrection, he's the reason Dexter goes to NYC.
Though from the trailers it looks like there will be less of the father-son dynamic and they will have fewer scenes together. It will be more Harrison off doing his own thing, not knowing his father is alive for at least a few episodes, and Dex's main quest is trying to track him down and eventually stop him from going down the worst darkest serial killer path
