Because like Bay he may make slop, but the slop he makes is paced well, engaging, and usually fun to watch. So it's slop you might actually enjoy watching rather than being boring slop.

I'm not just gonna sit here and pretend like he isn't very talented at writing natural dialogue and making creative memorable action sequences but i just can't stand that corny ass motherfucker. He's the type of nerd that never got his ass beaten as a kid so he just became twice as snarky and snobby as a adult when the stuff he makes isn't anything otherworldly, it just shines cuz everything else is somehow even worse for the past 2 decades. He also said Roman Polanski was innocent because that 13 year old buzzed on champagne "wanted to have sex with him so it was consentual", Polanski was 39 at the time.
