Everything in 84 dunc was mad cringe from the weirding way to the skyrim shouts in the ending. A movie being inane and absurd doersn't make it unique or good. Lynch retards need to get htis straight in their empty dome

Bits and pieces of dunc are superior but over all Lynchs dune is beyond better. The costumes were alot cooler, lady Jessica looked like a noble lady and not a frumpy cat lady, Paul didn't look like a faggy twink, chani looked hot and wasn't a gross mutt.

The scene with the Reverend Mother (forgot the name of the kino actress) will be fantastic if they get it right. First there's the conspiracy meeting, but more importantly her chapter where she's taken to see Paul in the throne room. In the book she starts to notice how fucking gigantic the architecture is, how it could harbor cities inside, mentioning stuff from certain places and whatnot and finally the negotiations. 10/10.

In the setting it is so far in the future that earth is a completely forgotten location that is even fuzzy in other memory. The races have homogenized, and split and re-homogenized so much, its multiple mystery meat distillations.
The great houses, because they're controlled bloodlines, will lean towards certain phenotypes more, but even then its a hodge podge of thematic reasoning, like the Atreides being greek/med themed because its paced and plotted like a classical greek play (minus the chorus exposition).
