They can do a 15 year time jump for Pattison. In the Batman he could've been 26 and in Batman 2 he can be 41. Pattison is almost 40 anyways. Just make the time jump so that he gets most of the Bat family and his technology improved so that he can fight aliens, it's not hard.

Because this batman is too grounded and "realistic". You'd have to do the silly "stop playing with your food and eat it" trope where you'd have super Kryptonian alien men who can cross the room in a blink of an eye slowly walking towards batman to be all intimidating only to walk in some traps or some stupid shit they didn't see with their x-ray vision. James Gunn isn't smart enough to write batman as the tactical genius detective he is for a team of cartoon characters. There's no way to make this batman(or really any batman) make sense in a team that every member can fold him into a little origami crane literally. You have to write equally silly shit to power him up like give him his own ironman/power suit or kryptonite brass knuckles, bullets, dildo, or swords or something equally retarded to find an excuse to make him seem like he can do anything. Plus the tone of this batman is like day and night with that James Gunn super man.
