The Fleischer cartoons were.

My grandpa had some of the serials on VHS when I was a toddler, I think his humble video collection was a great gift to me living with him.

I forgot where I read it but Supes wasn't supposed to fly originally. He could just jump really far but when the Fleischers tried to animate it it looked retarded so they just had him fly.

Just showed them to my son and he's a Superman guy now. But they really take a noticeable dip in quality after Famous took over. Still enjoyable to see Superman kick the shit out of King Kong
