Pretty good, mate. I knew jackshit about this period before watching it and got through it just fine. I suppose some things might fly over your head and the way they speak, especially when there is ideoms involved, might be a bit strange at first but overall no problem.

Also, just started watching this. Spy drama set during the later stages of the war, ie Zhuge Liangs northern expeditions. Can already feel the kino just from the outro where they do a in character recap of the plot development that happened in the episode.

Just like the real history, it's great and very entertaining up until through the Battle of Red Cliffs (ep45ish) and then becomes boring and stagnant

How did Cao Cao get so powerful? He seemed to attract a lot of smart generals and he beat the Shit out of Yuan Shao even though nobody knows how.
