Anakin Skywalker was a untrained Jedi that allowed his emotions to continuously be left unchecked even as a Sith Lord; which became Sheev's undoing. For a man that continuously speaks of forseeing everything he did not see the turmoil within Vader discovering his lover's children had survived and ignoring the previously foretold prophecy that he would be the one to bring balance back to the force.
