Off the top of my head, Psycho was filmed in Phoenix. That's the major "hey guys this famous movie was filmed here!" bit of trivia that everyone throws around, just like every city and state has. The other one is Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure; the mall scenes were filmed in Metrocenter (now torn down). I would bet that a lot of scenes in movies set in California are filmed here because Phoenix can look a lot like LA or other major SoCal cities at half the cost.

Outside of Phoenix, The Prophecy was filmed on some reservation. I forgot which one. That's a great fucking movie.

Oh yeah, and Bio-Dome was partially filmed outside the actual Biosphere 2 in Oracle, which is near Tucson.

Yall truckas seen Convoy? Ernest Borgnine is an Arizona sheriff. I guess it's a pseudo-Western, Peckinpah made it after all. There was a trucker fad in the 1970s.
