Every Nolan movie has a romantic subplot and they're always so perfunctory and asexual
In fact, come to think of it, Memento, The Prestige, The Dark Knight, Inception - apparently the only interesting thing about a romance is how your protagonist reacts after she's dead. Nolan grasps a guy asshurt over his dead gf better than he grasps a guy interacting with his alive gf.
